General Use Instructions
AMBN is white crystal, soluble in alcohol, ether and organic solvents, insoluble in water. During heating, it decomposes to release Nitrogen gas, sometime cause Cyanide substance. It has a 10-hr half-life in solution at 67 °C.
Compare with AIBN, AMBN is much more soluble in organic solvents. It is mainly used for bulk, solution, suspension and emulsion polymerization among methyl methacrylate, acrylics (coating), acrylamide, vinyl acetate, styrene and vinyl chloride.
