General introduce
ATO is one white powder without smell; it is slightly soluble in water. ATO is widely used as fire retardant in plastic and rubber industry, also used in catalytic reforming process of petroleum, whitening frit in ceramic, coating pigment etc applications.

FIRE RETARDANT

ATO is the earliest substance that used as flame retardant. During the beginning of combustion, ATO firstly melt to become hard film to protect from the air, and absorb the heat from the material to reduce temperature. And in high temperature, the vaporization of ATO will absorb Oxygen density in the air, which will help to reduce fire.
ATO is widely used in polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, nylon, ABS, rubber, synthetic resin etc polymers.ATO is additive fire retardant, it is often used with other fire retardant or smoke suppressant in together, such as Aluminum hydroxide, Zinc Borate, Bromine fire retardant etc. All these materials will have good synergistic performance that depends on the customer’s formulation.  
COATING SYSTEMS
ATO is used as fire retardant and white pigment in coating or painting, which has good properties on weather-proof and anti-stain.

ATO is used as enamel covering agent.
